There are two main types of plywood, each one has its own grading system.

①As we all know, the first one class is architecture and industry. This type of plywood is primarily used for strength and it is rated according to its exposure ability and the level of veneer which is used on the face and back. The exposure capability can be internal or external depending on the type of glue. The board grade can be N, A, B, C or D. N grades owns very few surface defects, while the D grade can have many knots and splits. Such as, plywood used for sub-floors in a house is rated as "internal C-D." This means that it has a C-face with a D back and the glue is suitable for a protected position. The inner layers of all construction and industrial plywood are made of grade C or D grade veneers, regardless of rating.

②Another type of plywood is called hardwood and decoration. Such plywood is mainly used for its appearance and it is classified according to the technical (external), type I (external), type II (internal) and type III (internal) moisture resistance descending. Their veneers are almost flawless.
